Brief description of fishery:
Smaller than Bog Grove at around 2 acres and stocked with Roach to 1lb, mainly small Perch, Rudd to 1lb, Crucian Carp to 8oz, Tench to 6lb, Bream to 10lb+, Pike to low doubles, although mainly Jacks, some large Eels to 4lb and a fairly low stock of Carp to low 20’s.
Although it has been known as quite a hard water in the past, it has produced some particularly good bags ofsilver fish in the last few seasons. Especially with quality sized Roach in the autumn months.
Some perseverance with the EA trying to introduce a population of Crucian Carp is slowly starting to pay off, with some beautiful little 6 to 8oz fish starting to show recently.
Big Bream and some Tench tend to show occasionally as part of mixed bags by pleasure anglers or as accidental captures by Carp anglers. The Bream tend to average at around 8lb with some fish over 10lb.
Not known known as a particularly easy water to catch the relatively low stock of Carp, those that put the time and effort in can be rewarded with some fine looking and not very regularly caught fish.
There is a plan to remove some of the mass of small Perch to relocate to other club waters in the spring of 2023. In the hope that the remaing Perch will grow on to bigger sizes.
Little London is being managed as a mixed fishery and hopefully one where Crucian Carp will become abundant, due to its low stock of other Carp.
