Brick Kiln Pond

Brief description of fishery:

We have just recently re-acquired fishing rights to this small pond after around a 5 year hiatus.

It is a small pond, smaller than The Railway Pond and has about 4 swims. It is very shallow and has an abundance of different floating plant life in the warmer months.

Previously it was known to have nearly every variety of Carp and Goldfish Ornamental with both of these crossed in nearly every variation, including…

Common Carp, Mirror Carp, Fantail Commons, Fantail Mirrors, Brown Goldfish, Fantail Brown Goldfish. Even a couple of fairly decent sized Albino Grass Carp.

Some of the fantails were most impressive with some tails as long as the bodies of the fish. The size of the water does reflect in the size of the fish therein though, with most fish small in size.

Other species contained included small Tench and some Rudd.

Fishing Time

Strictly no night fishing.
