Bog Grove

DESCRIPTION

A very well stocked, 3 acre, tree lined reservoir with 22 swims, containing Tench to 7lb+, Crucian Carp, Roach and Rudd to over 1lb, Bream to around 6lb, Perch to nearly 2lb and Carp to mid doubles. The water also contains some smaller species such as Ruffe and Gudgeon to keep the float angler guessing. Bog Grove sometimes throws up the odd Large Eel to around 5lb.
The fishery is currently being managed to become more of a mixed fishery with a range of stock to suit all anglers, which the water was before the mass introduction of Carp in the late 90’s/early 2000’s.

We have had a programme of removing Carp (about 300 fish), but have left around 50 quality fish to hopefully grow to larger sizes.
With the help of the EA we have been trying to establish a Crucian Carp population as there once was years ago, and slow up the relentless breeding of small Rudd by adding Perch.

125 barbel 1-1.5lb  or if they don’t come through same in Chubb.
