Membership

Applications using the Membership Form are being accepted for RENEWALS ONLY for card holders of the 2023/4 season. Please download the membership form and send form, passport photos and old card to the Membership secretary.

The following summarises membership information for the 2024/5 season and may change in 2025.

The Annual Subscription will be due on the 1st of April of each year and last for one calendar year, or in the event of a member joining part way through the year, the remainder of the calendar year. Members will not be able to fish until they have joined and paid the appropriate fee.

Members who do not renew their subscriptions between January 1st and March 31st of the New Year will be deemed to have relinquished their membership and must therefore re-apply.

Payment – We accept payment by credit or debit card.  If you wish to pay by cash or cheque then please either visit JP Tackle, 1 High Street, Maldon or complete a membership application form to be sent to the membership secretary.

Your membership booklet will be delivered with your membership card.

There are 12 membership categories and you may select more than one (e.g. Adult + Night permit)

• ADULT – Aged between 18 and 64 on 1st April
• INTERMEDIATE – Aged between 16 and 17 on 1st April
• JUNIOR Aged between 10 and 15 on 1st April
• UNDER 10 – must fish with a member aged 18+ (1 rod only)
• CONCESSIONARY – Age 65+ on 1st April or registered disabled
• ASSOCIATE – partner of member
• NON-FISHING – non-fishing visitor (5am to 10pm only)
• GATE KEY – needed for Rook Hall only
• NIGHT FISHING PERMIT – allows night fishing on night venues (age 16+)
• JUNIOR NIGHT PERMIT – must be accompanied by adult night member
• WINTER 3 ROD UPGRADE – allows the use of 3 rods from October to March (not needed if you buy a night permit which automatically allows the use of 3 rods between October and March)
• LIFE MEMBERSHIP – excludes night fishing

Membership shall be at the discretion of the Committee and all members must be in possession of a current Environment Agency Rod Licence, when fishing club waters.
